The Job
The Production Assistant will play an integral role within the Livestream Department to ensure the promotion of a dignified working environment and the creation of jaw-dropping virtual events.
The Production Assistant will report to the Virtual Events Director.
The Duties
- Live productions
- Assist with all livestream productions by engaging in the following:
- Attending client prep meetings as needed
- Reviewing event prep checklists to ensure quality control
- Helping to prepare speakers for live events by checking their A/V
- Serve as primary contact for panelists and clients during events to manage any real-time adjustments, address unexpected needs, and provide clear communication between client and virtual events director during shows.
- Manage zoom techs during events to ensure clear assignments, troubleshoot issues in real-time, and provide support as needed
- Zoom coordination
- Serve as our lead Zoom technician by engaging in the following:
- Training Zoom techs as needed
- Serving as a Zoom tech for client events as needed
- Providing refresher courses for Zoom techs as needed
- Staying up to date with the latest in Zoom technology to incorporate any developments into show offerings without issue
- Reviewing and implementing Zoom event checklists
- Departmental Support
- Help maintain the quality of our work by
- Working with the livestream director to create an individual monthly work plan
- Attending and preparing for weekly supervisor meetings with the virtual events director to review and plan work assignments and responsibilities
- Debriefing with livestream director and other Zoom techs after each event to identify strengths, mistakes, and ways to improve productions
- Working with the livestream director to monitor and learn from other virtual events
- Assisting livestream director in testing new technology and workflows
- Participating in a quarterly evaluation
- Client engagement
- Participate in the direct engagement of clients by:
- Performing client intake meetings to assess needs
- Participating in project management meetings as needed
- Preparing additional client documentation as needed
- Other
- Be able to assist in other projects as needed, including:
- Cataloging our recorded live productions and maintaining our filing system on Google Drive.
- Create social media toolkits as needed
- Engaging in relevant research projects as needed
- Helping to create a culture in line with our social justice values while promoting the dignity of all On Point Studios employees
Job qualifications:
- 1-5 years of customer service experience
- Familiarity with zoom and other virtual platforms
- Excellent writing and editing skills a plus
- Crystal clear and responsive communicator
- Project management experience with attention to deadlines, ability to anticipate issues before they arise, and emotional intelligence to shepherd clients and contractors to success
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and irregular hours
- Access to reliable high-speed internet connection
- Access to a reliable laptop/desktop required
- Familiarity with OBS, Vmix a plus
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop a plus
- Two monitors a plus
- Participation in social justice movements a plus
Compensation:
- $28,000 – $32,000 part-time annual salary based on experience
- $200 per month health care reimbursal
- 5 Personal Days per year
